Its been over 6 months now since I first shaved my head. I have to say that going bald was one of the best things I have ever done for myself. My entire life (and a lot lately) people have randomly come up to me about how my hair SHOULD look..... or in many cases boinged my curls. I have never liked my pincurl/fro that I have naturally and people have always told me I look better with x,y,z or that it would be better if x,y,z wig were my real hair or maybe if I spent a bunch of time straightening it each day I would look better. Also got a lot of never cut it because people pay for that curl. Well, I have come to find that it is actually just dead protein extruding from my skull. No really, thats it. Our society cares (or tries to make each other care) so damn much about what we look like, how we dress and what people think of each other...which is really no ones business but their own. VERY little emphasis is put on honesty, compassion, integrity, work ethic or the ability to be vulnerable and accept vulnerability in others. THAT is what matters, not my hair.
