Its been quite interesting doing a survey of our players as to if we should go entirely to Steam and get rid of our crappy launcher system. Currently 7% of people basically refuse to use Steam, which seems to be a surprisingly large amount I reckon. Reasons cited include Steam being slow, unreliable, untrustworthy, having poor offline support, being harder to install the games you own on a different machine (what?!), having trading cards (really..) and a few people who just jump up and down saying that GOG is much better because reasons.. Personally the only one of those reasons Ive experienced myself is the poor offline support, and in every other one of those departments our sketchy homebrewed login server on a single server in the US would be far dodgier than Steam Id be thinking. Guess well have to maintain our legacy launcher too *sigh* Anyone here have any thoughts on the current short comings of Steam, and player perceptions of it?
