Its called the Garden of Dreams, a walled in oasis just off a busy, congested street filled to capacity with cars, motorcycles, busses, trucks and amid all the chaos, pedestrians trying to navigate their way along a route where they are at the bottom of the pecking order and shown no respect. The young lady in the background to my left appeared along the pathway in my field of vision wearing a dark purple skirt and printed top. She selected a ground pad and pillow in the sun directly in front of me, tied her hair in a bun, picked a book from her tote bag and found a comfortable reading position. Meanwhile the middle aged ladies in front, maybe sisters or friends from college, settled in as they continued a quiet conversation in some foreign tongue I didnt recognize. The young couple to my near left in the foreground appeared to be teenagers, probably late teens and recently attracted to each other judging by their behaviour. He sat down, leaning back on the pillow making himself comfortable as she kneeled beside him, giggling and chatting, until she felt comfortable enough to sit beside him shoulder to shoulder making light body contact. Gradually they drew closer. He whispered something in her ear which caused an immediate reaction as she sat up, slapped his leg while making a laughing comment in Nepalese. They both laughed and settled back to a relaxed, easy pose while enjoying the relative quiet and peacefulness of this isolated garden paradise. Meanwhile the lady in the dark purple skirt stood up, moved her ground pad and pillow from the encroaching shade back into the sun. As she lay back with book in hand she pulled her skirt up over her knees to mid thigh revealing a set of milk white legs that obviously hadnt seen the sun in quite some time.
