Its cleaning day. Little Mama has raised her usual hell for the morning and is now taking a nap amid piles and piles of stuff all around her. After taking EVERYTHING off of the flat surfaces in her room and putting them on her bed so Denise could clean, she didnt put them back when Denise was through. She just crawled up there and found her a blank space and went to sleep. It boggles my mind at what bizarre things seem okay to her now. :( Little Mama also told Denise that when she vacuumed to only pull the vacuum one way so there wouldnt be any little swirly marks on the carpet. ODJ.... I rolled my eyes and told Denise to ignore that directive. LOL Just more of LMs OCD. Its maddening. She was always obsessive about stuff but dementia has exacerbated it beyond belief. And...neither Denise or I can find my two good brooms. Little Mama likes to sweep, which is fine. But only the good Lord knows what she did with them. So, off to Wal-Mart later today to buy another one for her to lose and the madness continues beneath this roof. Yesterday it was 86 degrees with rain and thunderstorms and hail. This morning i is 34 degrees with snow moving into the city and into my area around noon. Really? Can weather get dementia? I think it has. Like Little Mama, it doesnt know whether to rain, freeze or blow. My Bobby used to say, I cant want it, instead of I dont want it, and then make this funny face like a little dog does when it knows youre about to give him a bath or take him to the vet. Sort of a cross between pitiful and panicked. I thought of that this morning when I was putting on my shoes. I am so tired. Couldnt sleep because of my aches from shoveling and hauling sand yesterday and my thought when the alarm went off was... I cant want this day. However, it is mine and so I thank the good Lord for the opportunity to make something positive happen while Im in it.
