Its crazy how our relationship with food begins from day zilch. If I do ever decide to use my university degree as a teacher I surely wont be rewarding children with artificial foods, as it contributes to setting them up for an unhealthy cycle, and there are far better options for positive reinforcement! My dad used to come home from work and say to my sister and I I have a surprise for you!! And it would be a bag of green apples, or fresh veg as a gift from a work friend or a new type of foreign fruit hed discovered. This has become a running joke in our family now, and Im grateful for his common sense. Even though I didnt understand why I missed out on rubbish foods when in school, I could not be more thankful now. This one min video needs to go viral.
