Its crucial to understand the rise of feminism during the past half century as not the rise of feminism but the repudiation of patriarchy. If we dont see thus, we will end up with Hillary Clinton as president then being labelled a milestone for feminism, which such would not be. Black Power did not receive legitimacy in the Obama presidency and was not a victory spawned by the Civil Rights movement. White Supremacy is stronger than ever under Obama, and with Clinton as the coming president, the patriarchy will be strengthened. Black civil rights is not the achievement of equal opportunity for blacks to serve white supremacy, and likewise, feminism is not equal opportunity for women to serve the patriarchy.
