Its difficult to make sense of any of the greetings that we are taught in school by our english teachers, They insist on How do you do? ...And tell you the response is equally How do you do? - silly, I think- To even make matters worse, the Americans say Hi -a shortened form of their english counterparts words of greeting, Reply also is Hi Even sillier? Imagine telling that to your parents in traditional Nigeria!
