Its festival time here in Uzes. Many things going on and quite a few to do with bulls! They have the local cowboys (from the Camargue) demonstrating their skills on the main street. They tear down the street on their beautiful White Spanish horses hearding the bulls whilst the locals try to wrestle them to the ground. But it seems very haphazard. Chrissy & I leapt out of the way of a stray bull and it took out the guy right beside us! (They have covers on the horn so its not too deadly. But he will be very bruised). This clip shows a brave local downing a bull. It does seem mean to tease the bulls but I guess its better than killing them. Its all very much part of the culture here. If it makes you feel better we saw several lads get quite pummelled by bulls which definitely got the better of them. Its all quite a spectacle!
