Its finally official!! The student team for which Im the faculty supervisor for is now an official university-supported student organization, and will be competitively participating against other universities including Harvard, MIT, etc. My students have worked very hard to put together business plans, budgets, schedules, and a lot of other things to make this happen. Im soo proud of them. The team will self-choreograph a traditional folk dance from the western Indian state of Gujarat called Garba/Raas, which is fun, high-energy, and physically exhausting. My students are very diverse, and together we look forward to an exciting season ahead! Go Northeastern NakhRAAS!! :) Btw, heres what a performance would look like:
