Its fun to play with shutter motors and see how they work on the d3100..its pretty awesome...a little arm comes up to flip the mirror open, then the bottom shutter goes down, then the top shutter goes down, then they both go back up, and the aperture arm swings down too. Really get to see how the camera works. Kind of amazing a dslr still needs a shutter like this though... the thing that closes the mirror back down is a spring, and I need to get it onto the arm of the mirror while its assembled..not sure how Im going to do that. lol
