Its funny. I read inspirational posts on Facebook. I have read countless motivational books. Half of my Facebook feeds seem to contain some religious revelation based on an experience or sermon one of my friends wanted to share. I hear quotes from Budda, Mohammad , Ghandi, etc, but none of this really effects me. They are just words. In our society word are meaningless. They are tool of manipulation. We are ever suspicious of their true intent. This morning, I was truly effected. I was forced to reevaluate my view of humanity. I, who understood in complete clarity the motivation behind interpersonal relationship, was befuddled. The cause; no miracle healing, no charismatic story, no clever words. It was a simple gesture, by a random person, that cost them $4.86. One simple action with no strings, no ulterior motives, no agenda, nothing but random kindness.
