Its funny how history, and rhetoric have managed to demonize African Americans to Africans, and Africans to African Americans. Even in 2014, some clueless people still think Africa is a Continent full of starving, disease infested people, living in squalor and mud huts and some Africans believe that we are all the same way, as our entertainment and media paint us (a people to fear). We get a distorted view of each other. Divide and conquer. Sometimes satire/comedy can bring the truth, with a dose of sarcasm, can put the truth out there and lay the truth out there in a thought provoking manner. We both have experienced the same things in many ways. Stop n Frisk in America is just a mirror image of Apartheid. Even there, they have the same supremacist issues, in some of their countries in Africa, as we have. They have their success stories, as we do, wealthy people, as we do, natural hair and weave, Separated but equal. You dont have to go to Africa if you are against it, to be apart of something powerful, both financially and as a Nation of people who support each other. We just have to get over these misconceptions some of us have about each other, that is also part of the brainwashing. Its for reasons like this, when our media portrays a leader of another Country, whichever one it is, and says they murder their citizens, or are robbing them of their rights, I dont give it much credence, because my people have been painted as a negative picture, as a whole, to everyone around the world, so what right do I have to believe anything they tell me about anyone else, especially since what weve been going through.
