Its funny how your mind wanders.....the scrap book of memories some times are full of pictures of those happy days of sunny slopes of long ago...I was just now sitting by the ocean an when I closed my eyes....there they were....JOSH, Denelle, Jeremy, Jessica, Josey, Danielle and old friend Kirsten along with several other fans of the summer sunshine. We were all at Catches restaurant listening to the Caribbean islands music and steel drums played by our good friends Dickie and Melvin....great fun....I think we all just finished singing that song from Jimmy Buffett....Volcano....Where ya gonna go when the volcano blows! I was telling the family about things I had done growing up on Key Biscayne....my island paradise.....the topic was the Wild hair challenge....this was decades before dumping ice water on your head....this was serious stuff of the day... The way the challenge went....when someone Double dog Wild Hair challenged you to do something.....well you just flat out had to do it or you would be scorned for LIFE. That hot summer day....the challenge was given...it was to anyone at the table to take the challenge....first person to Stand TALL was Joshua beautiful GIRL ....Denelle....then big ol Jeremy stood up and said that he was in....the scope of the challenge wasnt even discussed yet....but here were two suntanned souls ready for action.....the Challenge....to jump off the deck of the Catches restaurant and swim across the river....Good Lord soon as I said that Denelle was in mid air diving into to water....Jeremy looked at us and said....Im in over my head...in an instant they both were heading across the river. The current was extremely strong but not nearly the strength of those two sleek youthful bodies....everyone in the restaurant was cheering them on....I was planning to pick them up on the other side but bless their souls they both jumped back into the river and swam back....the picture of them is posted....proof positive that they were up for any challenge that was thrown at them....Good Times...Good Memories.... My mind then flashed to that dreadful night of the accident....I wondered what the sunset was like that day....so this year of Labor Day Weekend....I sat on the seawall....like that old song...by Otis Redding....Sitting by the dock of the bay.....great song....I posted a picture of that anniversary sunset.....in the clouds I looked up and I swear I thought I saw JOSHUA smiling down on me......funny how your mind remembers things......love you Joshua..... Love you Jeremy, Love you Denelle.....and I love all my adopted children.....you guys are my LIFE..... The Dad
