Its funny that the first memory to come back to me here was that of the Mumbai Local trains... In a packed railway compartment with barely enough space to stand. (but surprisingly much space to pass peoples bags to the racks, pass them back to their owners, and also allow people to move around to approach the doors) One lone person would suddenly chant at the top of his lungs Ganpati Bappa... and the entire coach (and sometimes the adjacent one as well) respond with Morya! And this continues into a few more rounds: Mangalmurthi...-Morya!, Ganpati Bappa...-Morya! :) :) I dont remember all the lyrics here, but i do remember the smiling faces as everyone chanted at the top of their lungs, even those who were until then completely absorbed in their morning newspapers, or reading a novel in a corner. Familiar music which brings back Happy Memories has a fabulous effect in bringing people together. In this videos case, its a happy action song that all of them would have sung to during their childhoods. Id love to do something like this someday. :)
