Its getting close to the time where I lost my mom and every year about this time my brain is flooded with her memories and one that came across my mind today that just keeps playing over and over again when we were kids we had nothing we were on welfare and we used to get welfare checks and paper food stamps twice a month on the first and the 16th my mother couldnt afford to treat me and my brother at the same time on one check so she take me to McDonalds as a treat and tell me not to mention it to my brother on the second check she took my brother and told him not to mention it to me as young as we were we couldnt keep the fact that we got a cool toy from one another which of course we had to share them anyway we never let my mother know that we did in fact tell each other and always knew what she was up to. Although Im sure she knew but the fact that me and him never fought about it made it kind of sort of a tradition for all of us which we enjoyed. She tried so hard and me and my brother as young as we were we seen that and it made her feel so good to be able to do something so simple for us and it was so hard for her to do to the point where we couldnt even afford to catch the bus to McDonalds the only way should be able to take us for that happy meal with that awesome toy was for us to walk to McDonalds and back she couldnt even afford to get herself a meal so shed stop at that little Dunkin Donuts on the corner and buy herself a small coffee instead I love and miss her so much and some of the smallest things shes done had the biggest impact on my life and things like that I take with me everyday as a lesson I love you and miss you so much mom. :)
