Its getting harder and harder for me to hold my tongue and opinion on this military hair topic. Ive learned that the stronger your convictions, the more people youll offend. People say do the right thing, but religion, civil & world wars, politics, and cultural beliefs have taught me that right is relative and subjective. Im rebellious by nature. Maturity and personal growth has somewhat tamed that. However, I still struggle with conformity. Deaf, dumb, and blind compliance has never been an option for me. Were individually responsible for our actions. With risk comes consequences. EVERY time one steps out on faith, there is an assumed risk. You cant fly into flying. You must first step out, gain momentum, and elevate. That first step is, most often, a blind step out on faith. When you reach the edge of the cliff, you HOPE to fly and not fall. Faith is the foundation of our hope (Rom 8:24). Without RISK, one will not ELEVATE. Ive taken more risks in my life than I care to admit to. The more I do it, the easier it gets. The potentiality of flying always has and always will overshadow the possibility of falling.
