This is a warning that potentially damaging winds are expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements. A low pressure system over the Eastern United States is forecast to intensify into a major storm as it moves along the U.S. seaboard today. The centre of the storm is forecast to move across New England this evening and into Eastern Quebec Thursday morning. Strong southeast winds will develop today with gusts up to 100 km/hour tonight.
