Its good for the base. Thats a common phrase for anything frozen or near frozen that comes out of the sky during the winter. It settles in to the snow but doesnt melt it basically beefing the water content and creating a denser snowpack. Thanks to some serious snowfall and a little tricky weather from Mother Nature, our mountain is now sealed in with a layer of perfect base material. Thanks to all you out there getting after it yesterday as your packing down of the fresh foot that fell two nights ago helps preserve it. Were now skiing on almost 90% of our terrain and the next time a big storm comes around you can expect to go where ever you please (minus brook beds as they havent frozen over quite enough yet). We saw some more wintry mix overnight but the snow hasnt gone anywhere. We were hoping for a mega dump but well take what we can get and thats been pretty darn good.
