Its graduation day. Ive been awake for twelve minutes and Im already crying. I wish I was one of those people who love funerals and graduations and all that, but to me, they are emotional torture, like going to a place knowing good and well, you are going to spend the whole time there, getting smacked in the head with a sledge hammer. I think my job today before the ceremony will be to practice pretty crying as opposed to ugly crying. I have a feeling Im going to have much practice. I sure love that kid and Im sure proud of him and I hope he has a wonderful day. Hes earned it. I just hope his mom can keep it together and have a little dignity, and not cling to him as he walks across the stage, screaming, Dont grow up!! Dont grow up!!
