Its hard to believe its been 13 years since that awful Tuesday morning, the most horrendous attack in our countrys history. Five days later, while staring a tv screen that seemed to only show a rising body count, I started writing a song , for no reason other than my own personal venting. The next morning, I played it for a friend over the phone, who convinced me to record it. At the time, my group was recording music we later titled A Work In Progress, so that evening I skipped the planned work, and in one night recorded Spirit Of America. Two days later, this song was being played hourly, first on local radio, then all over. Every time I hear it, I still remember the shock of that day, and the way we all banded together, if only for a short while. eddiebushmusic.bandcamp/track/spirit-of-america
