Its hard to write something to be thankful about after the terrible events that have occurred in the Ukraine. However it is precisely these occurrences that make you even the more thankful for the small events in our own lives. The picture attached is of my young granddaughter Mia who I took away for a few days out to Kanimbla Valley for her to ride her mini bike and to just hang with her Gumpy this weekend. The innocence of childhood, the exuberance and spontaneity of youth, is a joy to behold. We have the best of times together, and seem to have the same weird sense of fun. Every single time we head out to Kanimbla we sing Were all going on a summer holiday and we make up words to suit the particular time we are going away.We just laugh and laugh and laugh. I feel I am the most fortunate of Grandfathers to have 4 beautiful grandchildren.............. Just look at that cheeky grin.
