Its has been about a month, since the last time I cut the grass. The weather was so dry, then the last three weeks, the Lord gave us rain, nearly everyday! Wet grass cuts uneven, and dulls a mower blade, quick, fast, and in a hurry. So, today I started early, as I have about four acres to mow. Well, I nearly finished the front half, when all hell broke loose, the bolts stripped out of the muffler bracket, and try as I might(I have Gerry rigged it before)I cant do a temp patch job. So, I go to the internet, and order the three parts I need, $135.00 later, I just have the satisfaction that it will go out on Monday, sometime during the day. I have three options, try to wire the son-of-a-gun enough to finish the job, or wait five more days, with more rain on the way. Option three, use the push mower! Now last year, when the Yardman Zero-Turn burned out a drive pulley, I mowed the four acres behind a push mover, self propelled, but that is a lot of walking! Neither option is particularly appealing to me, but in the absence of having about ten lambs, fifteen cows, or six goats, I will be forced to choose one! All in all, I am blessed beyond measure.....I mean, if this is the worst thing I have to deal with for the next five days or so, I am grateful.
