Its high time that someone addressed the issue of traditional leadership in southern Afrika, the socio-economic/cultural issues related to this barring in mind these structures were demolished and replaced by dummy chiefs and western forms of local governance....monarch murderred or jailed and so forth. This matter is pivotal in the process torwards understaning why there are nations within the Xhosa nation who have independant sovereignity that can be traced legitimately..why there are nations in the Zulu nation with independant sovereignity..why you find Xhosa speaking people with Sotho, Thembu, Hlubi and Ngwane historical background. Sort this out and you will understand that abaThembu are actually not a Xhosa nation!
