Its honestly amazing how much can change over the course of a year. If you asked me last year what Id be doing today, youd probably get some jumbled response expected from any 22 year old without any idea what he wants out of life. No goals or aspirations, no responsibilities, no clue. But then I met you. You looked at me with those big blue eyes and flashed the most beautiful smile, a smile that seemed to stop time in its tracks, if not for just an instant to embrace it. I knew then that my life would never be the same. I knew then that there was something about you I couldnt possibly define. Something that drew me towards you, like a moth to a flame. It was as if I had no choice but to fall in love with you. It is said that true love is the hearts recognition of its counterpart in another. Well I believe on that warm September night, in the midst of the chaos that I considered to be life, my heart recognized its counterpart...in you. And here we are a year later, raising two beautiful children together, continuing to build upon the foundation that weve established. Continuing to amaze me on a daily basis, you challenge me intellectually in a way that I have never known. You inspire me and give me direction and motivation to achieve things that I would never have the strength or courage to face on my own. Youve given me hope not only for myself but for this family. Youve saved me. With all that being said, I want you to realize that through ups and downs and all that life has laid before us, there is no one I would rather walk alongside this path with. Words alone lack the substance required to truly capture everything that encompasses my love for you. Youre my heart and soul, my everything, and Ill love you til forever if youll have it so.
