Its human nature to want to thank profusely and connect with and identify with the person/group/outfit/charity that gave you the opportunity to welcome the most wonderful family member, your beloved rescued ex-racing greyhound into your life and into your heart... Unfortunately however.. we must be weary not to be tricked.. and in our moment of gratification, we must remain true to our OWN VALUES and not be swayed by lies and misconceptions. Because it is easy to be fooled when you are staring at the most wonderful, needy, bundle of fur and this person or group is the answer to your dreams ... you know what I mean.. you can be indoctrinated when your heart is open... And these PRO race loons know it. It is true of GAP, and it is true of this outfit. Both re-home greyhounds from racing, and both are so PRO racing its shameful. So when possible adopters are surrounded by PRO race crap.. they are an easy target.. emotions are high and a good spin can work wonders on an open heart.. I am horrified over the numbers of adopters from GAP who have been brainwashed into believing greyhound racing is acceptable.. this is simply unbelievable.. It makes me sad and angry that so many intelligent people have been duped. I can only believe that it is the same for adopters from this woman.(link below). so very disgusting that even as she continues to spin her PRO race beliefs to unsuspecting adopters.. one of her own racing greyhounds has just fallen and been seriously injured while racing. :( How can one justify greyhound racing is okay? Greyhound Adopters must stay strong and unite.. If you adopt from a PRO race outfit, please pay your fee, take the dog and leave. Do NOT buy into their bullshit.. because it is nothing more than that. Greyhound racing kills. It is a dog killing industry. You bet - they die. That is all you need to remember. From The Greyhound Protection League of New Zealand: One of the most dangerous people to greyhounds in New Zealand runs this page, where she indoctrinates GAP zombies and the unsuspecting public into thinking dog racing is ok: https://facebook/NightraveGreyhounds She has fostered a great deal of dogs, earning considerable street cred in the world of greyhound pet owners, and runs a business of pet sitting and dog accessory product sales, all the while feeding innocent greyhound adopters with racing industry propaganda. A couple of years back, she was kicked out of the GAP program for personality reasons..Despite the fact that GAP is always seeking volunteers and foster carers. You can read about that here, in her own words.. greyhoundsnz.blogspot.co.nz/2012/11/dear-friends.html On a personal mission to prove that were all so wrong about the cruelty of greyhound racing, she purchased two racing greyhounds in a show of support for the industry. One has the race name All the milk. Now the inevitable has happened and this dog has suffered a serious injury. How many more dogs are going to suffer for this persons ego and no valid reason whatsoever? By owning these dogs, and putting them in harms way for her own and the the TABs benefit, this person is trying to make a point that racing is ok. Kind of like how the world is flat and how the moon is made of cheese.. Good luck with that. Your dogs will need it. From the race report: ALL THE MILK was away well racing handy in the early stages ,racing in to the first bend ALL THE MILK changed stride out over the heels of WHERES CARLOS soon after ALL THE MILK went amiss finishing a margin in the rear to pull up to the lure. Wider out in the run to the first turn CLAMPED ( fav ) ran in bumping MISS SOFTY who went in bumping in to NINJAGO and in across his heels ,a few strides on MISS SOFTY became awkwardly balanced making the first bend ,she lost momentum and was unable to get back in to contention there after. ALL THE MILK was referred to the vet where she was found to have suffered a left side hock injury ,this was put in a splint for the dog to return home.
