Its important you all know who this man is as we pay tribute to him... Craig Aaronson. This man changed my life and gave me a career in music along with many others. Possibly the best A&R guy of our generation! A visionary in the music industry. He discovered, signed, worked with bands like At The Drive In, Jimmy Eat World, Glassjaw, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Against Me!, Avenged Sevenfold, and many more that you may have never heard if it wasnt for him! Most importantly to me he signed The Used. He took a chance on our bands that no one else would have. He had a vision and a passion for these bands and thinking outside the box. He allowed us to do the things we wanted to do, be ourselves with his unconditional support. To make the records we wanted to make, which all had a major impact on the music world. I mean, look at that list of bands to name a few! He was brilliant. His enthusiasm for his bands was unlike anyone else. He never got in the way of the creative process, he only fanned the flame inside of us. He was such a great man, a great friend, a great colleague, and a crucial part of the music industry. My heart is broken to share that he passed away yesterday. My thoughts and best wishes go to Craigs family. The heartache is shared by so many great artists, industry people, friends, fans and more whos lives Craig impacted. He certainly left a legacy behind that will live on forever! This clip was taken from The Used dvd Maybe Memories as he shares the story of the first time we played him a couple songs from our debut album while we were making it. I remember it clearly... After the first song he quickly got out of the car, we were all a little confused, he shut the door and suddenly screamed at the top of his lungs! Then jumped back in the car beaming with excitement. Haha! We all laughed in surprise. It was a great example of his passion/enthusiasm for music and the artists he signed. He and I would talk a lot about music, I had so much respect for his approach to his work. Craig will be missed by many. He already is. Rest in Paradise my friend. We will see you on the other side. Love & Respect #ThankYouCraigAaronson
