Its in an utter state of SHOCK, and with the deepest DEEPEST SADNESS, that I need to report some tragic family news. My dearest mom (Marie Fumich) passed away suddenly and unexpectedly last night. NO words can begin to express what we are all feeling now. Myself, my sister Sheila Liljenquist, and brother Paul Romano, could never have asked for a more loving and wonderful person to have as a mother. She was simply the BEST! And my nephews Jason Liljenquist, Brandon Liljenquist, Christian Liljenquist, and my two sweet little girls had the most loving and wonderful grandma on the planet. My God how she loved them all!!!! And there isnt a SINGLE person that ever met her or knew her, that didnt consider her the warmest, friendliest, spunkiest, classiest, and nicest person. She made friends whereEVER she went. Last night after she passed away, I made the lonely drive home from the hospital. Most people here probably dont know that she lived only two blocks away from me...and I couldnt help but turn down here street. I drove up to her house and saw her bedroom light on, and I can honestly say that was the saddest moment of my entire life...looking up at that lit room and knowing she was never ever going to be there again. My God mom, I miss you so much and love you with all my heart. You were the greatest mother to me. God rest your sweet soul! Please pray for her (although she probably doesnt need any) and for us. This is definitely going to be the HARDEST thing to ever make it through. Also for our West Virginia friends, please hold off from calling my Great Aunt Arlene or my grandma, as they are being picked up now for the drive here, but they dont know yet..thank you) Funeral arrangements will be posted as soon as we know them.
