Its interesting how closely education and income correspond in this chart. The schools that do well are those in areas where parents are healthy, wealthy and wise (not that a college degree makes one wise). The schools that do poorly are those in areas where parents are unhealthy, poor and are unlikely to hold more than a high school diploma. In other words, all of the attention and focus on testing and more so on proving that we have bad teachers is likely misplaced.
