Its interesting that a common theme of a lot of science fiction is that due to our selfish behavior, our planet has become uninhabitable and therefore our only recourse is to find another one to live on. Yet what good is it to to move to another planet if we havent changed the consciousness that caused us to destroy our planet in the first place? Although its only science fiction, it does expose a real fiction where people believe that we can change the earth without first changing ourselves. Time for us to realize that the only ones who can bring lasting change to our planet are staring back at us in the mirror.
