Its key objective was to end colonial rule in Africa,YES that was ended but it remains to be seen whether the continent is as independent and peaceful that warrants celebrations ????,Talk of violence in Nigeria by the Boko Haram group,the abduction of 276 girls in Nigeria,,, There are also fears of instability in parts of Chad ,Cameroon, Benin,Niger,Ghana and the Central African republic, Peace keeping in Africa has now been taken over by the self proclaimed BIG brothers (developed world) and they have been successful in trying to play the rescue role for Africa, I havent had of an AU mission in trying to find the kidnapped Girls from Nigeria but im told the US, France are deploying troops for the search.. Talk of the uprisings in Libya and the subsequent Murder of Colonel Maumar Gaddafi did our respectable AU stand to its cause? Is AU a politically organisation or it also embraces the social, economic and Political problems of Africa, I have also seen Tribal colonization in certain countries My beloved Zim included, some tribes are considered superior than the other in Policy implementation , Is therefore there a reason to celebrate for the minority tribes I have also witnessed Geographically colonization were certain regions in a country in Africa is Marginalized and all the resources in that country are channeled towards the development of selected regions ..
