Its kind of a win. This idiot will appeal the ruling, but the bottom line is this: If you have the Constitutionally protected right to bear arms, you should have the right to legally purchase one. The ONLY people who are restricted under gun control laws are law abiding citizens, NOT the people most likely to shoot you. How in the hell can taking guns from law abiding citizens reduce gun related crimes?? (It cant) Furthermore, theres absolutely NO evidence to show that stricter gun control saves lives (because it doesnt exist) Remember, 82 people got shot in Chicago, which has the strictest gun laws in the country, over 4th of July weekend ALONE. 82 people-thats a small NEIGHBORHOOD worth of people. Thats enough to fill 3-4 high school classrooms. Thats roughly the number of people who work in a strip mall. Thats, on average, the number of people at my local YMCA RIGHT NOW. 82 is no small number, and it happened in spite of strict gun laws. Not surprising, since criminals, by nature, typically dont care about the law. If theyre willing to take a life, then theyre willing to break a lesser law to do it. You can get the death penalty for murder, so illegally obtaining a gun in order to commit that murder isnt a big deal for those wiling to take it that far. Common sense!!!
