Its nearly time for the Lightsview Ride Like Crazy cycling event - so get ready to ride with the police for a good cause on Sunday! The ride gets under way from Unley Shopping Centre at 7am on Sunday, 18 January, with different rides available for different abilities.Please take extra care as there will be a concentration of riders leaving Unley Shopping Centre area from 7am,riding along part of the South Eastern Freeway, up to Crafers, then on to Piccadilly, Balhannah, Littlehampton, Woodside, Lobethal and over to Cudlee Creek, before returning to Unley oval through the eastern suburbs.The Ride Like Crazy charity ride, supported by South Australia Police, is an annual event conducted since 2010 in recognition of STAR Group member Senior Sergeant Mick “Crazy’ Koerner, whom sadly passed away in 2009 from an inoperable brain tumour. So far, the ride has raised $836,700 for charity and this year, is aiming to get over the $1m mark.
