Its no secret that Im no fan of Spotify and several other streaming services, who I feel like are unscrupulously making money off of other peoples intellectual property. I purposely didnt allow them access to my One More Night In Nashville CD, and recently filed a request for them to cease using my Whats Not To Love About That? CD. I hadnt thought about the Hard Times (Call For Hard Liquor) single, and tonight somebody told me that they had heard two of my songs on Spotify recently. That one, and I Recall My Daddy, which they have access to through a compilation CD called Welcome Home: Our Unsung Heroes that was released by the Veteran Memorial-Foundation, and is being used to raise money for helping veterans who are facing tough life challenges. I gave them permission to use it, and I hope they find a good use for the penny that Spotify might slip up and give them every couple of months.
