Its no secret that i am the human embodiment of the Grinch. With that said, no other song sums up Christmas to me, more than this song. This version is one of the best I have ever heard. Anyone that has had or held a new born, can attest, that we wonder what will become of this child we hold; i know i did with mine. The lyrics are deeply emotional to me, as i have to think about Mary during this time. Did she comprehend the greatness which she was responsible for? Did she understand that her little baby would have books written about Him for centuries, stories told about Him across the planet, legions of followers hanging on every word; only to be denied, crucified and then slain. I guess what touches me the most is i know how His story ended up. Yes He died but rose up again. She was told He would be the ruler of nations, that His kingdom would never end...in deed Mary, did you know?
