Its no secret that my wife LOVES to move furniture around. This time, she gets me in the kitchen. Im the kinda guy who thinks its funny that I can eat as much of anything I want and not gain any weight. Been that way my whole life. In fact, Im 143 pounds right now, about the same as I was in high school. Knowing that today is Tuesday and The Biggest Loser is on tonight, well, its time to make cupcakes! Devilsfood cupcakes! With chocolate frosting! AND vanilla ice cream! Yea, Im a dork for eating that while watchin that show, lol. Now I live just under 1 mile in elevation, bout 5100 ft, and the secret to baking real gourmet cupcakes, or cake in general, is to add the right amount of flour to the recipe. If you dont, it wont taste/look right. So I gather all the ingredients (3 eggs, water, oil and the sack of mix) and before I get started mixing things, I have to add some flour to the mix. I open the cabinet that has the flour and....its GONE! She got me again! A tin that is colorfully marked flour and its been moved, somewhere. I know better than to ask where its new home is so I start the search and after a few minutes I see it, on the pantry, hiding under the tin marked tea, behind the tin marked sugar, which is under the tin marked salt, with a roll around cart that has the potatos at the bottom, dish rags and towels in the middle and the dog food container on top. I have to move all this to get to the flour. Very carefully I move the cart out of the way so I can get to the salt tin to get to the tea tin to get the sugar tin to finally get to the flower tin. All this being done, I carefully lift the colorful flower tin from its hiding place and turn to re enter the kitchen and in the proses of doing that I smack the colorful tin against the moveable cart that has the potatos, dish rags, towels and dog food container on it. Knocks it right out of my hand. POOOOOF! Took about 20 minutes to clean up that mess. Karma? Perhaps, but I still scooped 2 tablespoons of flower and added it to the mix. If thats the worst thing that happens to me today, then Ive had a pretty good day. Mmmmmmmmmmmm, Cupcakes!
