Its not always thunder and lightening or mountains trembling. Sometimes its a small bit of advice. God has always spoken to me, mostly in Biblical phrases and today was so obvious. When I received unfair treatment from someone, and felt angry I heard that inner voice say over and over, at least three or four times, Be angry, but do not sin. Then I was told not to argue and leave. I told the other person I did not want to argue and was leaving and they calmed down. As I left for home I heard, Never return evil for evil, June. Of course some people are sure were crazy when we hear that voice, but Jesus was called insane by his enemies. Gods Spirit has often been my only friend and like a true friend he never thinks my woes are too small to deal with. He has never left me to flounder nor said, Dont bother me. (Later I was offered some practical help with my problem when two LDS Sister Missionaries arrived.) The Spirit is powerful even when our troubles are very small ones. The scriptures tell us to pray in an undertone all day long and then promises that whatever we ask, according to His will, will be granted. Thats some promise! I believe it.
