Its not enough to like someone just because they are kind to you, or sweet in general. Its not enough to be with someone because its comfortable to be so. Heck, Im going to argue that love isnt enough. There has to be a spark...something about them that excites you, grabs you, pulls you in. Otherwise its just about what they do for you, and ultimately thats not really love. We all have something to offer, and the people we have around us, be they romantic partners or friends, need to be those who are truly in love with our fires (and vice versa). Its not about what I can do for you. Its about who I am in your life. It may seem like a subtle difference, but I would argue that it is a monumental shift.
