Its not neglect imho to be in a holiday resort away from your children who are asleep just whilst you eat. I grew up at a time when we could go off on our own and children were able to play out on the street for the most part safely. If your child is in bed fast asleep then why would you not feel that is ok to leave them there? People ought to feel safe enough to be able to do that and not get the blame if some psycho then takes advantage of that. What kind of world do we live in when a parent gets the blame for someone else kidnapping a child? Make the world a safer place by dealing with criminals more sternly rather than blaming parents.
