Its not often that you get meaningful feedback on your stories. But today - among a number of readers who wrote to me about this piece - was a man who said he lost one leg below the knee while fighting in World War II. He wanted to know if there was anything he could do to help the Afghan war victims featured in the story. With his permission, he wrote: I try to encourage those seriously wounded in combat or in civilian sector, to keep busy, turning adversity to advantage.
