Its not possible to love every member of your family. And sometimes your family will be the reason for your high stress levels, your mounting debt, your attempted suicide, the demise of a relationship with someone you truly loved etc. But what i know for sure is that when friends are there no more, when fame disappears, when your bank balance is R0.00, when your world comes crushing down before your very eyes and when those who once desired to be with you want nothing more than to be away from you, there is one place you can go to and cry until your eyes hurt - home. You see, the car that you own can crash. The house that you live in can burn down. The friends that you have can walk away. The person that you love can stop loving you. The job that you own can end. The organisation that you believe in can be hijacked by opportunists and be destroyed. The beauty that you have can perish, so can the brains, in just one accident that could leave you permanently brain-dead. But the DNA that you share with your family...it runs through you every second of your existence. Family is blood and blood stops flowing only when you die. No matter how messed up your family may be, never forget where you come from.
