Retired police officer Monica Evans is generously donating her time and brings with her 10 years experience in law enforcement as well as 12 years as a pre K-high school teacher. In her last appointment with DPD, she worked with Project Safe Neighborhood, Gang Resistance, and Youth Violence Prevention. She is certified as a mediator and trainer of Restorative Practices with the International Institute of Restorative Practices, Grief and Trauma, and Aggression Replacement. She has received numerous awards for her work as a police officer and teacher. She is also a wife, mother, guardian, and foster parent.
