Its not uncommon for me to defend my love for running, the logic - TopicsExpress

Its not uncommon for me to defend my love for running, the logic of crazy long runs to my friends and as our community mourns the loss of one of its beloved iconic avid runners, Jacob Wells, again many have questioned why? Why do (we) runners do it. Jacob ran hundreds of miles & died doing just that at only 45 yrs old. But...what they dont understand is as runners, just like Jacob, we dont run to add years to our lives. We run to add life to our years. It doesnt make the world go round. It simply makes the trip worth while. I ran my own 13.1 miles this morning in honor of Jacob & runners everywhere. Life is a gift. No matter how long your journey, make it count. #RunForJacob
