Its now 2 years since I started walking for elephants. I personally did not think that I will walk again this year. What has made me to continue walking and talking about elephant conservation , is that our communities believes that wildlife in this country belongs to state or the Government and they have no business to manage or take care of. Looking at what statistics shows 78% of poaching incidences in Kenya are reported outside the protected areas, this is a clear indication that I cannot retire but to look for more people to help in penetrating in impenetrable areas and educate our people. I have now managed to walk with 372 schools, 25 universities , 921 community meetings and 92 conservation talks both in Kenya and in the USA. I am now ready for 2015 with a target of 5000km now that am experienced and I have you whom I did not have in the beginning . Planning , fund-raising is the most challenging and difficult than walking.
