Its now 8 weeks since I decided it was time to make a proper effort to get back to my goal weight of less than 60kg. Time has flown and all of a sudden Im around half way there! The second month definitely was a lot harder than the first. The first 4 weeks I was spot on with my eating and right on target with weight loss. This month however, was full of temptation and emotions and yes, a few binges. Basically my weight didnt change much at all for the first 3 weeks. I would generally eat well during the week but then blow it on the weekend so that I was just maintaining. It wasnt until this past week that I dropped over a kilo and things finally started moving again! But thats weight loss for you. Its never linear and theres always hiccups along the way. Success comes when you realise its not going to go as smoothly or as quickly as you would like, but you are determined to keep going despite all this. So over the past 8 weeks Ive lost 3.5kg, so Im really only one week behind my aim of half a kilo per week. Definitely not going to complain about that! Ive also lost: 3cm from the bust 6cm from the waist 3cm from the hips 2cm from each arm 3cm from each thigh Im about 3kg away from my goal, so hopefully Ill be well and truly there in another 8 weeks. Im starting to think about maintenance again and how I will do things differently this time to make sure I dont start going backwards again. It really is true that the weight loss is the easy part! Its definitely going to become a lot more challenging from now since Im back at uni full time and starting a new job- both next week! But Im really excited to be studying sports nutrition this semester, because its one area I dont yet know a lot about. Im going to have to make an effort now to fit in regular workouts, so wish me luck! Ill just really have to work on being super organised. Im hoping to post some progress pictures in the next day or so. Overall, feeling really good about my progress so far :).
