Its observed in environmental fieldwork that plants that are raised indigenously to local areas assume the general workings of the nutrients that are found in that area, and creates for itself that standard of life after being there for so long. When removed and transplanted into a different region or in any new abiotic factors unrelated to the organisms creation, will not be able to absorb nutrients as well nor have a normal standard of life due to a shift in the base state of the nutrients its receiving. So in conclusion, plants (I will also go ahead and say animals react in this same manner as well) grow best near the ecosystem they originate from.
