Its official Gem has bee adopted! She is going to be very spoiled and cared for with her mom Vi. Vi and Gem are bonding fast. She sleeps in the bed (all 60 pounds of her) and is learning about a Macaw bird...thats new to her. She is settling in really well and doing great. Vi says Gem will be her motivation to continue her weight loss journey with daily morning walks. Special gratitude to Heather McIntosh for seeing Gem through and meeting Vi at 11:00 p.m. so she wouldnt have to make the trek from Tacoma to Lake Stevens twice.
