Its official! Im running for office. My school, the City College of San Francisco, is under attack and in danger of shutting down. We are the largest community college in the nation, with unparalleled LGBT, Womens, and Ethnic Studies programs. We are one of only two colleges nationwide with a full-time Veterans Affairs clinic on campus. We are a sanctuary for veterans, the formerly imprisoned, immigrants and LGBT people, including the homeless and poverty stricken. We are hope for the disaffected. We are an investment in our local economy. I stand for my fellow students, I stand for Public Education, I stand for firm leadership so badly needed at this national treasure, my school, the City College of San Francisco. We need volunteers! The opposition wants to shut down both the school and my campaign. We will stand firm.
