Its officially Christmas here, so Im posting my favorite Christmas song. People ask me sometimes why Catholics worship Mary. I tell them we dont worship her, we revere her for her sacrifice. As one priest once told me in a homily, we tend to tell the story of her visiting her cousin as a cute story of visiting family, but the truth is she was fleeing for her life, because if it was discovered she was pregnant outside of marriage, they would have stoned her. So yes, I celebrate the coming of Christ.
