If you know any hot young scenic/lighting designers, send them our way. ** Undergraduate liberal arts program at University of Louisville seeks Scenic & Lighting Designer for one-year term position, with possibility of renewal, beginning August 1, 2014. The successful candidate will design scenery and lighting for up to five Main stage productions; supervise student designers; and teach Introduction to Scenic Design, Introduction to Stage Lighting, plus two other design-related courses. Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduates is essential. Successful candidates will have an MFA and professional design credits. Experience in multimedia, other areas of design and technology, and USA affiliation also welcome. The department, home to African American Theatre Program since 1993, has a deep commitment to cultural diversity on stage and off. Candidates should have demonstrated experience working with culturally diverse community, students, faculty, and staff.
