Its one thing to have God tell you that something is going to happen before it happens. Seeing it unfold in a dramatic, heart wrenching fashion, is another. One of the things that God began speaking to me about when He awakened me, was future world events. Whether while praying in the early morning to have Him reveal the coming civil war in Syria, to sitting in a coffee shop and having Him tell me to open my laptop and dictate as He proceeds to tell me what was going to happen in Egypt and other countries in the following months. To be completely transparent, it still trips me out to this day and oftentimes I feel helpless and connected to and involved in the events in a weird (not bad, weird) way. Early this year, He told me to pull out my iPhone and started to talk. As I typed, He revealed what would happen in the Ukraine, as well as, the turmoil and chaos that would ensure in the Middle East. It is now unfolding. Why do I share this? I do so, because I want to make something very clear. Oftentimes, events happen and we react and try to interpret them through the lens of our cultural, geographical, political and ideological lens. Many people look to what I refer to as after the fact prophets who, while not seeing the events coming, still are looked to by those waiting with bated breathe to be told what God has to say on the matter. I have no intent or desire to bombard you with my options, however, I do want to remind you of one thing: God loves PEOPLE. All of them. Not just the ones that we prefer and agree with. I can promise you that His heart grieves for all of the people who are dying and disenfranchised in all of the various conflicts around the globe. It is great to see so many people unite together with a voice to defend their own. This is not a political statement, as I have not stated my viewpoint. It is simply a reminder that God has all of humanity in mind right now. Be blessed and encouraged.
